Bocco Island Safari is an eco-focused safari camp established in 2020 on a privately owned island in Lower Zambezi. The camp was created with a vision to balance tourism, conservation, and community development in one of Zambia’s most sensitive ecosystems .
Located in the untouched beauty of the lower Zambezi, Bocco Island evolved into an intimate safari camp designed for guests seeking meaningful connection with nature. This is not a manufactured experience. It is real coexistence where Elephants roam freely, Hippos and Crocodiles dominate the river channels, Birds fill the skies, and plains game such as Impala, Bushbuck, Waterbuck, and Monkeys move undisturbed. Predators, including Hyenas and Lions can be encountered during guided game drives, reminding guests that here, nature leads.
Bocco Island is more than a destination. It is a shared responsibility to the land, to wildlife, and to the people who call this place home.
